Job Summary:

The State Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the sales operations within the designated state or region. This role requires a dynamic individual with strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and proven track record in achieving sales targets. The State manager will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth, managing the sales team, coordinating with other departments, and ensuring effective implementation of sales strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales Strategy Development:
    • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities.
    • Develop strategies to explore new markets and business expansion.
    • Develop and implement a strong and effective sales strategy aligned with the company’s overall objectives.
  2. Team Leadership:
    • Recruit, train, and manage a high-performance sales team.
    • Provide leadership, motivation, and guidance to the sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets.
    • Conduct regular performance reviews, set goals, and implement strategies for continuous
      improvement.
  3. Training and Development:
    • Identify the training needs of the sales team and implement training programs for the sales team to enhance product knowledge, selling skills, and customer service.
    • Ensure that the team is updated on product knowledge and sales techniques.
  4. Budget and Forecasting:
    • Develop, manage, and optimize the sales budget for the state, ensuring financial targets are met.
    • Provide accurate and timely sales forecasts, contributing valuable insights to overall business planning.
  5. Sales Operation Management:
    • Oversee day-to-day sales operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in achieving sales goals.
    • Collaborate with other department to streamline processes and improve overall sales
      effectiveness.
    • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to identify area for improvement.
    • Ensure timely review and required reports.
  6. Collection Strategy Development:
    • Develop and implement effective collection strategies to recover outstanding debts.
    • Monitor and manage the performance of the debt portfolio.
    • Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements in the debt collection process.
    • Identify training needs within the collection team.

Qualification, Skills & Experience:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in business, Sales or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  2. Proven experience in a Senior Sales Management role with a track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  3. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  5. In- depth knowledge of sales processes, strategies, and best practices.
  6. Proficient in using sales- related software and tools.
  7. Minimum of 7 years of proven experience as a manager, and 2 years of experience as State/ Division Manager.
