Job role:
We are seeking an experienced Partnerships Manager to support one of our client’s upcoming flagship accelerators focused on scaling income-enhancing innovations for low-income women in India. The role will be critical in building and managing partnerships with government institutions and large-scale livelihood platforms, particularly State Rural Livelihood Missions (SRLMs), National Rural Livelihoods Mission (NRLM), and National Urban Livelihoods Mission (NULM), to enable pilots and system-level adoption of innovative start-up solutions. Work closely with program leadership, start-ups, and ecosystem stakeholders to facilitate pilots with women micro-entrepreneurs, generate early evidence of impact, and support pathways to scale.
Key responsibilities:
- Build and manage strategic partnerships with government stakeholders, including SRLMs, NRLM, NULM, and allied public platforms to enable pilot implementation and scale pathways.
- Act as the primary liaison between government partners, program teams, and start-ups to structure pilots for deployment with women SHGs and micro-entrepreneurs.
- Support start-ups in navigating government systems, approvals, and operational realities for on-ground pilots and integrations.
- Coordinate with internal teams to align partnership objectives with program milestones, pilot design, and reporting requirements.
- Contribute to ecosystem building by engaging relevant civil society organisations, implementation partners, and platform institutions.
- Assist in documenting learnings, pilot outcomes, and partnership models to inform scale-up and replication.
Requirements:
- 5–10 years of relevant work experience in livelihoods, women’s economic empowerment, rural/urban development, or social impact programs.
- Demonstrated experience in designing, implementing, or supporting medium to large-scale livelihood projects involving women micro-entrepreneurs.
- Ability to work with multiple stakeholders, government, start-ups, NGOs, and funders in complex, multi-partner environments.
- Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Experience working with government livelihood ecosystems—particularly SRLMs/NRLMs/NULM or similar large-scale public programs and civil society organisations such as PRADAN, SHGs, Centre for Microfinance, APCNF, SEWA Gujarat, Rajeevika (Rajasthan Grameen Aajeevika Vikas Parishad).
- Hands-on experience engaging with rural and/or urban women micro-entrepreneurs.
- Experience enabling cross-sector collaboration between startups, government agencies, and civil society organisations to move solutions from pilots to scale.
- Familiarity with technology-enabled interventions (digital platforms, fintech, market access tools, AI-enabled solutions) in livelihoods or social impact contexts.
