OpportuneJobs.com was founded in 2011 by the alumni of Indian Institute of Forest Management Bhopal.

Founder and CEO
Jaspal Shakya, the Founder of OpportuneJobs.com, brings a wealth of diverse experience spanning over 17 years, with a strong focus on microfinance, social enterprises, startups, fintech, agritech, climate tech, health tech, and nonprofits.
Throughout his career, Jaspal has held significant roles with renowned organizations such as JobsForGood.com, MicrofinanceJobs.com, Grameen Koota (now CreditAccess Grameen), and Community Friendly Movement. He has successfully managed a wide range of independent projects, collaborating with esteemed entities such as Amped Innovation USA, GIZ India, Bihar Innovation Forum, Fair Trade Forum India, International Fund for Agricultural Development, Khadi & Village Industries Commission India, and Belkin International Inc USA.
In recognition of his commitment to social entrepreneurship, Jaspal was honored as a Youth Social Enterprise Initiative Fellow in 2006-2007. He holds a B.E. degree in Computer Science & Engineering from SRMSCET, Bareilly, and is an alumnus of the prestigious Indian Institute of Forest Management, Bhopal.
